Message from our Principal

A Message from the Principal.

An Scáth Le Cheile

In these unprecedented and most challenging of times, we in Kilkenny City Vocational School are meeting this challenge head on and we are succeeding.

Whilst are doors are closed and our corridors are eerily quiet our virtual classrooms are buzzing!

Teams, Podcasts, Padlets, Zoom, Flipped Classrooms, Online Quizzes Webinars, and Virtual School Tours are the order of the day!

I am astounded and extremely proud at the level of innovation, creativity and sheer ingenuity of all our teachers and students to ensure that our business of teaching and learning continues.

This gives me great hope for the future when life resumes as normal and this cloud passes. The sun will shine again and it will be brighter and stronger for all of us.

As our school motto says “We are stronger together” and even though we have to remain apart for the moment we are reaching out to each other in so many supportive ways!

Keep reaching out, keep supporting each other, keep engaging!

Stay positive and stay safe and protect each other and your families by staying apart.

We are all in this together and together we will succeed.

“Taobh le taobh, ag foghlaim ‘s ag fás”

This too shall pass.
