KCVS are hosting a non uniform/jersey day on Thursday 16th November in aid of the Lourdes Pilgrimage.
Students wishing to take part in the non uniform day are asked to bring in €2.
Donations are also greatly welcome.
Two students from 5th Year/Transition Year will be heading to Lourdes later in the school year to help the elderly and sick on their pilgrimages. As this comes at a cost the school will be helping to fund raise.

Huge congratulations to Kilkenny City Vocational Students on hard work and dedication over last number of weeks. The diligence paid off!
Students planned and implemented a very impressive stand for Savour Kilkenny this year. This was a team effort that saw cross curricular approach, from Home Economics to Art, Woodwork and many more.
Students got the opportunity to showcase and develop on key life skills include baking, budgeting and communication skills to name but a few!
Thank you to every member of the public who supported us as a school, we really appreciate it.
A huge thank you also to the School Completion Programme with Carlow Kilkenny ETB that assisted in making this a success. What a success it was!
Before close of day students had managed to charm the lovely public and the students fully sold out!

On 24th October the girls travelled to Duiske College for the 1st round of the Senior Tournament.
Full time showed a result of 3-2 to Duiske College, after a great game between the two team.

On Friday 27th October saw KCVS against Colaiste Pobail Osraí at Kilkenny City Vocational School.
A great game lead to a draw match 1-1.

KCVS Under 14 Football participated in the Kilkenny Final against Scoil Mhuire Johnstown.
KCVS lost to a very strong team, however the lads showed great determination and skill throughout.
A big thanks to Mr. Aylward and Mr. Fogarty for looking after the team.
A Huge Well Done to the KCVS U-14 Gaelic Football Team who today, Wednesday October 11th took part in a blitz here at KCVS.
Despite the wet and slippery conditions KCVS recorded a win and a loss in their two matches.

KCVS and Mooncoin (Colaiste Cois Siuire) joined up as Kilkenny schools to play Duiske College in the Junior Hurling Competition. It was very competitive game for the most part.
Eventually Duiske won out winners at the end.
It was great to see students from two schools play together so well and be so competitive against a very strong Duiske side.
On 9th October KCVS/Mooncoin produced a grand stand finish to snatch a point against CPO (Colaiste Pobail Osraí) in the 1st round of the Senior hurling Championship.
Sean Baird grabbed a late goal to force the draw.

The KCVS Senior boys soccer team started their campaign with a 6-0 victory over Tyndall College in the KCVS invitational soccer league.
Goals from Bernie Connors (4), Nicolo and Eric sent the boys on their way to a comfortable win.
On Tuesday 24th October the boys continued their unbeaten start with a 5-1 win over Duiske College.
Goals from Jordan Fanning, Sean Baird, Hamad Zon and Miguel (2).
Friday 27th October saw the boys march on with a 2-0 win over Colaiste Pobail Osraí.
Jordan Fanning was man of the hour with 2 superb goals.
Huge well done to Mr. Farrell and Mr. Stackpoole on their top team tactics and management skills.
